The Faculty of Theology has cooperated continuously with the Orthodox Faculty of Theology at the University of Belgrade for many years, thereby confirming its academic, ecumenical, and spiritual mission in the international environment.

One of the traditional occasions for meetings is the feast or celebration of St Sava (27 January according to the Gregorian calendar, 14 January according to the Julian calendar), the central Serbian saint and patron of educational institutions. This year's celebrations in Belgrade were attended by Doc. Dr. Andrej Šegula and Prof. Dr. Simon Malmenvall as representatives of the Faculty of Theology, who met with Serbian Patriarch Porfirije and Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Srboljub Ubiparipović after the ceremonial academy. Before the ceremony, a divine liturgy was held in the cathedral church dedicated to St Sava, led by the patriarch. Representatives of the Orthodox Faculty of Theology of the University of Skopje and the Catholic Faculty of Theology of the University of Zagreb also attended the festive events.

We thank our Serbian hosts for their consideration and warm welcome!
