On 15 and 16 June 2026, an international conference on ethics, epistemology, and education in the age of AI (From Virtual to Virtue: Ethics, Epistemology, and Education) will be held in Ljubljana. The conference will explore virtue, relationality, and related concepts in the context of emerging artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and the virtual world.
The focus is on rethinking humanity and human relationships in the digital age. The conference recognises that humans are, by nature, relational beings and that virtues are shaped through lived, direct experiences. Over two days, local and international experts will examine in detail how digital environments present new challenges to these processes and how they help shape them. The conference will provide a space for critical reflection on how to preserve and promote human virtues in a world where technology increasingly mediates our relationships, learning, and daily lives.
