The Faculty of Theology at the University of Ljubljana, in collaboration with the Faculty of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the University of Zagreb and the Nicolaus Copernicus Faculty of Theology in Toruń, is organising an international academic conference titled “Justice and Spirituality”, which will take place on Saturday, 23 May 2026, via the Zoom platform, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
The conference aims to illuminate the relationship between justice and spirituality in the contemporary world, characterised by social inequalities, wars, migration, the ecological crisis, and increasing psychological and spiritual distress. The symposium seeks to foster interdisciplinary and international dialogue on issues of human dignity, solidarity, responsibility, spiritual transformation, and the common good.
The conference will feature 13 speakers from various countries, universities, and academic circles. These include theologians, philosophers, biblical scholars, religious studies scholars, psychotherapists, and researchers from diverse religious and cultural traditions. The presentations will address themes of justice and spirituality from theological, philosophical, social, psychological, and interreligious perspectives.
The conference provides a space for scholarly reflection, academic dialogue, and international collaboration in exploring the spiritual and ethical dimensions of contemporary social challenges.
