From the 2026/2027 academic year, physical student ID cards and student ID stickers will no longer be used and the following changes will be introduced:
1. Digital student ID card
A standardised student ID card in the form of a smartphone app has been introduced, replacing the physical student ID card. The eŠtudentska mobile app is required to use it.

2. Digital proof of student status
A new feature – Proof of student status – is now available to students on the UL ID portal. This proof provides a quick overview of valid student status and allows verification via a dynamic QR code; it also contains a barcode for identification and access to services in UL libraries.

3. Email forwarding disabled
Automatic forwarding of emails from the university email inbox to external email addresses (e.g. Gmail) is no longer possible.
We recommend that you regularly check your university email inbox using your UL digital identity (UL ID).
