PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The BIOSEM project emphasises the importance of education in the field of ecological bioethics. The project aims to train secondary school teachers in teaching and integrating environmental bioethics into the curriculum. Within the partner network, which includes seven partner organisations from six countries in addition to the Faculty of Theology of the University of Ljubljana as the project sponsor, we have identified the following key themes: global justice, ecosystem health (especially water resources and recycling), science and technology, animal life, and minimalist living. The Faculty of Theology is responsible for developing a competency model for teachers, preparing teacher training, and peer reviewing selected topics in environmental bioethics.
