Nikolaj Aracki Rosenfeld, Assistent dr.

Nikolaj Aracki Rosenfeld OCist

studied Theology at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Ljubljana and graduated in 2008 with a thesis entitled “The Monastic Theology of John Cassian”. In 2007, he professed monastic vows in the Cistercian Abbey of Stična and was ordained a priest in 2011.

He was awarded a Licentiate in Liturgical Studies (La liturgia nella Catechesi del Buon Pastore di Sofia Cavalletti) at the Pontifical Liturgical Institute (PIL) of Sant’Anselmo in Rome, where he continued his doctoral studies.

While preparing his doctoral thesis, he worked as a special assistant to the Rector of the PIL (for courses on Liturgical Theology and Sacraments).

In February 2017 he gained a doctorate in Sacred Liturgy (doctoratus in Sacra Liturgia - SL.D.) for his thesis “Celebrare l’Alleanza – la tipologia dalla Bibbia alla Liturgia”, in which he examined the typological and figurative approach to liturgical-sacramental realities and offered an original way of thinking about liturgical and sacramental theology.

He is a member of the Slovenian Bishops’ Conference National Commission for the Liturgy.
